For the day job I’ve been building a company website. I’ve been using wordpress, and have discovered some awesome plugins that every business should use on their website. These are great and they are free. Have a look below for the best wordpress plugins for business.
1. WooCommerce
Why make it difficult for your customers to throw money at you? WooCommerce is a shopping cart plugin that is very professional, has a lot of options, and is free!
It has lots of options, and is great for both physical products and virtual ones. There are also many additional plugins you can get to enhance the functionality of it, most of them are paid, however.
A word of caution: it may not work out of the box for your theme, and it isn’t easy to customise the layout. That being said, it isn’t impossible, give it a go, but you may need to seek assistance of someone who does know a little bit about what they are doing (or can follow google fu instructions).

2. The Events Calendar
This is a free plugin, but also has a paid version if you need extra features. The Events Calendar is a nifty calendar plugin that allows your customers to see what events you are at and also what is happening with your business. You can advertise your own events or the ones you are going to. There are also extra plugins for this plugin (like woocommerce) that adds to the functionality of the plugin, such as connecting it to eventbrite.

3. Job Manager
Your business needs quality new employees and you want to make the process easier for yourself. Incoming Job Manager. A job management board on your website. Ad job descriptions, potential employees apply from a form on your website. You can then review all the applicants straight from the dash board.

4. Easy Table
If you need to present data in a table format on your website, Easy Table is the, well, easiest way to insert a table. If you get tired of typing out the code, this couldn’t be simpler – you just use the good old comma to separate columns on your table. There are lots of shortcodes as well, making this a powerful table plugin.

5. WordPress SEO
This is my favouritest plugin yet. WordPress SEO by Yoast. What good is your business website if no one can find it? This plugin is great. My favourite part is the SEO check, where it analyses your page and tells you where you are going great and what you can do to improve your page’s SEO.
And that’s my list. In the comments, share your favourite wordpress plugins for business!

Hi! My name is Carlie. I'm a wannabe published author, and the way to publication needs finished books, and the way to finish books is to write.

Thanks for the list! I use Yoast, but I think I will try easy table.
No worries. I do like easy table. It makes tables… easy.
