Plum Blossoms Springing

Posted by on Mar 27, 2010 in Life | 6 comments

These photos are a couple of weeks old but I’ve been busy. Now it’s Sakura season – cherry blossoms. But plum blossoms – ume – at least here, come a couple of weeks earlier, and so off I went to check them out!

Man this winter has been so long. Remember me being so excited about March? Yeah, well, the temperature raised a little bit, but not much. It’s still cold. And worse, it’s been raining the entire month. Whenever there is a sunny day, I must get out into it. Man, I hope April gets about 15 degrees. I want getting dressed to be simple again, instead of having to put on 20 layers.

Nothing like some flowers to raise your spirits.

How pretty are they! We went at around midday which is probably a bad time for photos, but I guess a great time to avoid crowds. I guess they were eating lunch. There wasn’t many people there at all, but there was a stream coming in when we were leaving.

Check out the rest of my photos from the day. :D

The cherry blossoms – sakura – have almost bloomed here. I plan to go out for some sakura adventures tomorrow. It’s supposed to be cloudy, I hope that doesn’t mean rain :P Yay for pretty flowers.

Great pics Goddess! And you are so cute! Totally photogenic(-: I wish the weather here was a bit warmer though so we could really enjoy the blossoms. Thanks for sharing.

I’m totally with you girlfriend. I could not beleive it is still this cold! Such an unusual winter. It is supposed to get warmer by Wed here in the Kanto area. Love your photos – enjoy the Sakura! They are almost in full bloom here and we have 800 trees in my neighborhood. It’s like a giant pink cloud encompassing us!
